In promoting world cinematographic culture inspired by the path traced by the Buddha, whose non-violence has its roots in the religious conscience of man, the event, promoted and organized by the Maitreya Foundation - Institute of Buddhist and Asian Culture Film Festival, with the support of the eight per thousand of the Italian Buddhist Union (UBI) and in partnership with EGA European Gate to Arts will screen a set of films, documentaries, fiction and medium-length films, testimony of a faith, an ethic, a spirituality professed by peoples different, in different eras and which persists in the minds of a large portion of humanity.

The Buddhist tradition is full of great stories that adapt well to cinema, the two days of meetings, perhaps following the path of the Buddha in a zigzag, aim to offer, in addition to the pleasure of a different, new cinema, presented on the big screen in the cinema, a journey of the mind into awareness.

​In Rome the festival took place at the new Aquila cinema in the popular Pigneto district, in Cagliari the event was shown in the central Cinema Teatro Adriano in the heart of the city and in Florence, the new Odeon space in the city center was chosen as the location.
